OUR FOUNDER

Mr. Nishikant Choudhari was born in Hinganghat in Wardha district of Maharashtra in 13-09-66. He joined Baba Amte in Bharat Jodo Abhiyan. Feeling in heart of someone to experience the differences in lifestyle. Social processes in urban and rural area is cause for emergence the process to carried it and try to put the society at an equilibrium stage.Mr. Nishikant Champatrao Choudhari who has got a job of teacher in Ashok Vidhyalaya in Umred in 1991. He resided over at Umred since them. He has completed his B. Sc. from Padmabhushan Shree Baba Amte Anand Niketan Collage of Science Warora. While studying he came in continuous contact with Padmabhushan Baba Amte and highly inspired to do something for Rural society.

SGH Training Camp

It is a personal observation of GVM that during this year and in earlier 4 years no SHG member barrowed money for one or other reason from Money lender.

Awareness Camp

GVM is also working in the field of consumer awareness. About 100 cases of Sanchayani Saving & Investment Co. Ltd. have lodged the complaints of consumers with Collector and CID authorities.

MRA Training On Panchayat Raj

Villagers are generally unknown about the powers of Gram Sabha and rules and regulations of Gram Panchayat. As such villagers are exploited by Sarpanch, Gam Sevak, etc. Thus, for Gram Sabha empowerment GVM is educating the villagers regarding Panchayat Raj.

Women Acknowledgement

GVM is working in 30 villages of Umred, Bhivapur and Kuhi talukas of Nagpur district under the state level campaign of Mahila Rajyasatta. This campaign is meant for the equal participation of women at the grass root level for decision making process for local self governance (in Panchaya Raj institution).

  • The organization operates primarily in the rural areas of Nagpur , Gadchiroli , Chandrapur and Wardha of Vidarbha. Its Executive Body comprise of 7 members. Management body meets every month and spends considerable time in deciding about it effectiveness as well as efficiency.

  • The organization in last nineteen years since its birth, has been active in three tahsil of Nagpur district viz.Umred , Bhivapur and Kuhi. The network of Self Help Groups is spread across two hundred and eleven villages. This network has been build with the proactive support of MAVIM , DRDA AND NABARD.

  • In view of the study and above observations Gramin Vikas Manch launcing a state wide campaign to unite dedicated eco conscious people to save Forest and our environment for mankind survival under the banner “WATER , SOIL , FOREST & WILD LIFE CONSERVATION MOVEMENT , MAHARASHTRA”.
